Intentions, Motivations and Goals
World Peace
Being a Romantic as well as an Idealist has been troublesome at times. Mostly because it was troubling to those around me trying to understand my deep commitment to a life of Peaceful existence with my fellow travelers on this planet, in the most Diplomatic and Caring way possible.
I believe in the ideals of turning the other cheek, and of forgiving those who cause harm, both in my personal life and in our greater society.
I believe in searching within myself to find the harm that I cause others without knowing , whether from ignorance, subconscious programming or because of my privilege.
This Peacenik Life endeavor will be a learning and growing experience. I do not believe any one person or group has all of the answers! Part of my goal here is to learn FROM each other, ABOUT each other. Yes I have a strong point of view, and I have been extremely judgemental of so much, for so long. But learning about and sharing other people’s stories, rituals and beliefs, and especially learning about how privilege harms all of us, is, in my opinion, very important to a Unified world.
I have believed since I was very young, that sitting down calmly with others and listening intently, especially over a meal, is the best way to grow and expand myself, as well as spreading Love, Unity and Peace!
My Goals Here
Spread thoughts about Peaceful Coexistence
Provide wearable billboards to do the same
Provide funds to those fighting the hardest battles for justice and/or for survival
To have an ongoing conversation about Communication, Unity, Peace, and Love with all who will come sit at the table.
And, to expand the diversity of the group at the table so that we are not all just talking to each other about things we already agree upon.
This project is intended to be an ever growing and expanding entity. I want this site to change over time, to be affected by the wisdom from all corners of this life and its collective experience. Thusly, I expect this site and the organization that comes from it to build and grow into something less me, and more Us! Please be a part of this Peacenik journey by sharing thoughts and anecdotes and the energy we all need to combat apathy, sloth and ignorance.
